A compact year-round cabin set under a canopy of trees in the woods near Lake Leelanau. Created with prefabricated concrete walls and roof trusses to maximize efficiency in construction. The goal of the design was to minimize furniture, maximize thoughtful built-in storage and create a small footprint that feels large. An expansive covered patio double the size of the living spaces while the linear kitchen visually extends to an outdoor kitchen and grill. A few steps away from the cabin, a freestanding sauna provides a space of relaxation for an active family.
